The Photo Project - Bangladesh

Located in South Asia, Bangladesh has a marshy jungle coastline stretching over 700 km. Bangladesh has a tropical monsoon climate characterized by heavy seasonal rainfall, high temperatures, and high humidity.

Natural disasters, such as floods, tornadoes, and tidal bores affect the country yearly. Bangladesh also is affected by major cyclones, on average 16 times a decade.

Bangladesh has the world's eighth-largest population with more than 150 million people, making it one of the world's most densely populated countries. In May 2014, The Photo Project travelled to this special country, taking pictures of some of the diverse people who call it home. View our album on Facebook.
