Bali is an island and province of Indonesia with a population just over 4 million. Bali is known as a place where traditions of art and culture predominate. Farming has been the primary way of living, while fishing, trading and craftsmanship are also prominent.
Balinese society continues to revolve around each family's ancestral village, to which the cycle of life and religion is closely tied. The Photo Project is excited to have photographed some of the people who make up these special communities in July 2014. View our album on Facebook.
